For road warriors who are tired of traveling with multiple battery charging devices for smartphones, digital music players, digital cameras, netbooks and laptops, WiPower (short for 'wireless power') has a better way.
WiPower's wireless charging technology allows users to lay their devices on a panel the size of a mouse pad to charge. Plug the charging station into an outlet and devices with integrated power receivers will start juicing up. Users can charge multiple devices on the mat, and the charge is close to that of a wired power cable--and it's easier to carry than a bunch of tangled power cords and chargers.
WiPower joined the Gainesville Technology Enterprise Center (GTEC) incubator program in Spring 2008, and the company is currently exploring strategic partnerships with global consumer products companies.
