BioFlorida

BioFlorida, Florida’s independent statewide bioscience organization, serves its members by providing the infrastructure to exchange information and ideas through industry specific programming, education, networking and legislative initiatives.  BioFlorida focuses on creating and maintaining a favorable business and legislative environment, advancing the commercialization of research and working with investors, private enterprise, government, academia and the financial and service sectors to further develop existing companies, launch companies and attract new business to Florida. more>


Florida High Tech Corridor Council

The Florida High Tech Corridor Council's mission is to attract, retain and grow high tech industry and the workforce to support it within the 23-county Florida High Tech Corridor region.  The Council was established by the Florida Legislature in 1996 in the 21-county service areas of the University of Central Florida (UCF) and the University of South Florida (USF).  In January 2005, the Council welcomed the University of Florida (UF) as a partner of this unique initiative, merging the strengths of three world-class universities and bringing the number of Corridor counties to 23. more>


Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce

The Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization of more than 1,250 members, representing 70,000 employees - more than 60 percent of the workforce of Alachua County.  The Chamber has served as the voice of business in Gainesville/Alachua County since 1924. more>


Gainesville Area Innovation Network

The mission of the Gainesville Area Innovation Network is to encourage technology enterprises to start up and develop in the Gainesville area by providing them with support through networking and educational opportunities. more>


Gainesville Council for Economic Outreach

The Council for Economic Outreach (CEO) is Alachua County's designated economic development agency.  CEO works with Alachua County and local government to secure all available resources for new and expanding business and industry.  Through “Growing Our Own” and “Expansion” efforts, CEO is poised to assist Gainesville Technology Enterprise Center (GTEC) and Progress Corporate Park graduates with site location assistance, work force training grants and incentive assistance. more>


University of Florida Office of Technology Licensing

The UF Office of Technology Licensing (OTL) was established in 1985 to work with inventors to facilitate the transfer of technologies created at UF to the commercial sector for public benefit.  UF is now recognized as a national leader in technology transfer. more>


University of Florida Sid Martin Biotechnology Incubator

The University of Florida’s Sid Martin Biotechnology Incubator is a pioneer in bio-business incubation, a business support process that accelerates the successful development of fledgling bioscience companies by providing entrepreneurs with an array of targeted resources and services.  The Sid Martin was named runner up in the National Business Incubator Association’s 2007 Incubator of the Year Award Competition. more>
