Business People Honored: Jane Muir, UF OTL
Jane Muir, associate director of the University of Florida Office of Technology Licensing, was elected to the 2008 Board of Trustees for the Association of University Technology Managers.
Muir has been elected to serve a two-year term as the vice president for professional development. Responsibilities include ensuring professional development courses are planned, budgeted, marketed and carried out within reasonable time frames. A former certified Dale Carnegie sales instructor, Muir has also developed and implemented training courses on numerous technology transfer and marketing-related topics for AUTM, the Federal Laboratory Consortium and various other technology transfer related groups. Muir has more than 15 years of experience in technology transfer.
