Recent GTEC Graduate Sinmat, Inc. To Receive Its Fourth R&D 100 Award—

Also known as the “Oscars of Innovation and Invention,” R&D Magazine announced the winners of the 47th Annual R&D 100 Awards, which will be formally presented at an Awards Banquet in Orlando on November 12, 2009.  For 47 years, the prestigious R&D 100 Awards have identified revolutionary technologies newly introduced to the market.  Many of these have become household names, helping shape everyday life.  An R&D 100 Award can provide the important initial push a new product needs to compete successfully in the marketplace.  The winning of an R&D 100 Award provides a mark of excellence known to industry, government and academia as proof that the product is one of the most innovative ideas of the year.

GTEC Startup IATech Featured in Internationally Renowned Publications/Web sites “BotJunkie," "Security Management Magazine,” “Congressional Quarterly” AND MORE (August 2009)—

Innovative Automation Technologies, LLC (IATech) is standing out as one of the best at the 2009 AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems North America in Washington D.C. (August 10-13), the world’s largest unmanned systems exhibition.  IATech has developed the Point and Toss Unmanned Aerial System (PNT UAS), a virtually autonomous UAS for the individual soldier.  The brains of the PNT UAS are three key IATech-developed proprietary components.  The PNT UAS is being introduced for the first time at the 2009 AUVSI exhibition.

GTEC Startup BioProdex, Inc. President & CEO Dr. Charudattan Received the Outstanding Research Award from the Weed Science Society of America—

Dr. R. "Charu" Charudattan, President & CEO of BioProdex, Inc. received the Research Award from the Weed Science Society of America for his outstanding service as a research worker in weed science.  The award was given at the society's annual meeting in Orlando, Florida, and a symposium on biological control of weeds with plant pathogens was held in his honor in which several eminent scientists from around the world spoke.
